Today's work plan

  • Finish the Grade Assist interface draft.
  • Photoshop mock-up of the three main function tab → make slide about it if there is time left.
  • 3D model: Try a smaller size model. See what are the options when import and export it in Rhino 6.
  • Discuss with Carsten about localCAN
    • re-sort the message by name (make a new excel table).

3D model

  • Try a smaller model (a car):
    • running a 11 mb file under a 2000+MB memory usage is totally smooth
    • Use “rendered” mode in perspective menu to get a real view of the model.
    • Change the render quality setting of render view. Open the excavator file, successful.
    • Save small.
    • Save as fbx file, use default setting → set to Carsten.
